Objectives
District
Statistical Office is the District level office of Directorate of
Economics and Statistics which came under planning Department of
Government of Maharashtra. District level information which is
useful in planning is collected by District statistical office.
Publications:

Statistical Office publish some important book.
(a)
District Socio-Economic Abstract
This
book includes important Socio Economic Data of District. The
information required for this book is collected from various
offices.
(b)
Municipal year book
This
book includes consolidated information such as income, expenditure,
staff position, Tax pattern, Slums, Slaughter houses,Vital
Statistics of all Municipal councils of the District.
(c)
Selected Indicator of Tahsil
This book includes
49 indicators of Tahsils, from which it is possible to compare the
position of Tahsils in various aspects.
Census
This
office conducts the Employee Census for the Employees of
Govt.Offices, Z.P. & N.P. every year by taking 1st
July as referenced day. From this year, we
are also conducting the employee census of all granted Educational
Institutions of District. This office also participates in various
censuses, such as population census, Economic census, live stock
censuses.
National
Income
To
estimate the National Income, information from Primary, Secondary
and Tertiary Sectors were collected by this office
Indices
To
calculate the Indices of whole Sale and Retail prices at state
level, information were collected by this office.
Evaluation
This office conducts the Evolution Surveys of various Govt schemes.
