District Treasury office is the State Govt. Office & entrusted with the work
of Accounting of Govt receipts and of making payment of state Govt. As per the rules in force and makes payment in accordance with the Budget grants placed at the disposal of
various Drawing and Disbursing officers authorized in this behalf. Treasury is also making payment of state pensioners as per various provisions & rules and on the strength of authorization
from the Accountant General. Treasury is also a govt. agency for sale of various Judicial & Non-judicial stamps /labels etc. And state lottery. This office also maintains Govt. Accounts,
which is forwarded to Accountant General. |

Banking and Non Banking Treasury Offices |
As defined in Maharashtra Treasury Rule 1968 Bank Treasury
means a Treasury the cash business of which is conducted by the Bank and a Non-Bank Treasuries means a Treasury other than Bank Treasury. |

Pension payment |
The pension payment is made by the District Treasury and payment is made through the Branches of State Bank of India and other nationalized banks in the District. |

The Pensioner has to appear before the Treasury officer for his identification as pensioner and as per rule 356 of Maharashtra Treasury Rule 1968 he has to submit life
Certificate to the effect that he is alive as on 1st November every year through his bank. In absence of this certificate the pension from December and onwards is with held till pensioner produces the life certificate. |

For grievance of any problem in receiving pensions, pensioners are advised to contact District Treasury officer or Additional Treasury officer Yavatmal. |
Sale and Supply of Stamps |
Various types of stamps are required by the citizen for different licenses. For registration of document for sales/purchase stamp papers are required. Court Fees stamps are
required in court cases for various purposes. Following types of Stamps and stamp papers which are made available to the public are as follows: |

The court fee stamps, General Stamps and court fee label are also sold by the authorized stamp venders. Stamp vendors are authorized to sale the stamps upto certain limits. |
Revenue stamps are sold only to post offices while notary stamps are sold to Notaries. |
Accounts |
This Treasury renders bimonthly accounts of payment and monthly account of receipt to Accountant General. |
