| There are 33 Tendoo units in the district having average production of 84000 standard Tendoo leaves bags per year and it generates revenue about Rs. 5,70,00,000/- every year. |

| There are 44 registered forest labour Cooperative Societies in district.

| Joint Forest Management |
| As forest is open land and surrounded by many villages.
Hence for protection, plantation and development purposes, works are entrusted to villagers through forest protection Committees. Under World
Bank project, such 30 committees are formed in 30 villages and the works of plantation Soil Conservation are executed. These committee members of
villages helps to forest officials for protection of forests. |

| Thus JFM programme is executed in 30 villages covering 21657.70 hector of forest area and it will be extended to other villages depending upon availability of funds. |
| Development |
| Plantation, soil & moisture conservation works are taken in degraded forest areas as per prescriptions of working plan every year under various schemes including EGS in 1999-2000.
Total 3659 hector of works are carried out with expediture of Rs.181.14 lakh and 2.54 lakh. Large number of mandays are generated from these works. |
