The programme seeks to provide all basic
essential services to 0 to 6 year old children and pregnant and nursing mothers in an integrated manner right in their villages or wards.
The Anganwadi is the focal point for delivery of this package of services to children and mothers at the local community level. The role of the Anganwadi Worker
is thus pivotal in the implementation of the programme.
Four blocks have included in this scheme in year 1982. Gradually remaining blocks are also covered. Now all 14 projects are running in 16 blocks i.e. all the complete
